It seemed as though everywhere offered similar menu's and admittedly some even at dirt cheap prices but I have had poor experiences elsewhere and trust me, it wasn't fun. The Astro captured my curiosity and I decided to sit at the counter. I recommend the Mediterranian Omlet with French Fries. Void of being influenced by an impetuous decision, this diner became my favorite then and there and Astro's personnel are very cool. Posted by Jee on 01/15/2005 Good food, great service! My friend & I were visiting NY and after a whole day of sight-seeing, just wanted a place to eat & recharge. Food was great, service was prompt & friendly, waiter who served us looked like Al Pacino. We couldn't believe our luck. I ordered their famous 1lb. Astro Beef Burger. Portion was generous & delicious, to say the least. It was a delightful dining experience. I been working in the area for seven years now and found no better place to get a super tasty large size burger deluxe cook tp perfection at a great price. Come in on a Friday and try the salmon special. Breakfast, lunch and dinner for the area it is in you get great food for a great value with a wide selection to chose from along with fast speedy friendly service. I try a lot of the restaurant in the area over the years and I keep returning to this place for the reason mention . Posted by Terry on 06/15/2004 Good food, good value Sorry to disagree with you Sarah, but Astro offered the best value of all the places I tried in New York with the exception of Art Cafe Restaurant on Broadway. Astro has a huge menu, the food is delicious and plentiful, and I got excellent value for money. The problem with places like the Carnegie and Stage Delis is that we are expected to pay over the odds for the privilege of turning up there! Posted by Sarah on 02/06/2004 Good Food, way too expensive Good stuff to be had, great ceaser salad and sandwiches, omlettes yummy too (plain eggs kinda greasy thou), pretty much all food is really good, but it is so outrageously expensive for a diner, even in the area that it's found. It can't compete in the category of food with delis like the Carnegie, so it shouldn't try to compete in prices. |

of ugly. I highly suggest
paying some college
student a couple hundred
bucks to design and make
you one that looks like
you're serious about your
business. The way it looks
now is terrible. Also, you
should probably fix the
spelling mistakes.
